Briga Gorman – Nurse & Therapist, MLD Practitioner

Briga is a Nurse & Therapist qualified in Reflexology and Indian head massage, and she is also a fully qualified MLD Therapist. Briga helps to co-ordinate the Sanctuary Stay programmes.

Ger Connaughton – Senior Therapist

Ger is our Senior Therapist and life skills Consultant. During the Sanctuary Stay  programme she will take clients for Reflexology and Meditation. Ger is also a bra & prosthesis specialist fitter.

Susan Reynolds – Nurse & Therapist, MLD Practitioner

Susan co-ordinates the take a break residential programme and is available for nurse support and advice for our clients. Susan is a fully qualified MLD Therapist, and also plays a key role as one of our qualified Complementary Therapists.  Susan is also a Breast Care consultant.

 

Audrey Waters – Counsellor & Psychotherapist

Audrey

Audrey joined the team of Counsellors at LARCC in February 2011.  Audrey delivers adult one to one counselling at LARCC and sometimes facilitates the Sanctuary Stay residential programmes. Audrey is LARCC’s qualified Play Therapist and has been delivering the Children’s Service since 2013, helping young children and teenagers to deal with the trauma of a cancer diagnosis in the family.
Audrey’s goal as a therapist is to create an atmosphere of trust and safety that can lend itself to increased insight, self-awareness, and healing.  Her approach is Person Centered and Holistic.  Audrey is a fully accredited member of the IACP.

Mairead Sheils – Counsellor & Psychotherapist

Mairead

Mairead joined the team of Counsellors at LARCC in 2011 bringing with her an in-depth experience of counselling in health-care settings. She also brings with her a specific focus on illness management, bereavement counselling and counselling in the aftermath of a cancer diagnosis.  Mairead plays a key role in our Sanctuary Stay Residential programmes as Group Facilitator.  She is a fully accredited member of the IACP.

Sean Hynes – Counsellor & Psychotherapist

Sean

Sean has been working as part of the team of Counsellors at LARCC for a number of years.  Sean has vast experience in counselling in the aftermath of a cancer diagnosis and has a specific focus on bereavement counselling.  He plays a key role in our Bereavement Support Groups as Group Facilitator, a programme that he roles out 3 times per year.  Sean also delivers one to one counselling and facilitates the Sanctuary Stay programme every November that is targeted at supporting family members who have been bereaved through Cancer.  Sean is a fully accredited member of the IACP.

Bernie McHugh – General Manager

Bernie joined LARCC in May 2010 bringing with her years of experience at senior managerial level. Bernie is manager of the Centre and it’s services.  She also looks after all the Marketing, PR and Fundraising for the charity, and is co-ordinator of the LARCC Fundraising Committee and the fundraising volunteers.

 

Kamalika Ranasingha – Chef

Kamalika is our qualified 5 star Chef who does all the catering during the Sanctuary Stay residential programmes. She can cater for all dietary needs and will help you with any of your dietary enquiries.

Stephanie Meehan – House Keeping / Catering

Steph

Stephanie manages the upkeep of the Centre, maintaining it to the highest standard. Stephanie co-ordinates the LARCC volunteers who maintain the up-keep of the Centre.

Marie Oxley – Administration

Marie is also with LARCC since it’s foundation in 2002. Marie plays a key role in the administration office, she is the friendly voice at the end of the phone when you call the Centre. Marie co-ordinates a number of the key fundraising events for LARCC every year.

Noel Cheevers – Caretaker

Noel

Noel joined LARCC in 2013 as Caretaker.  He manages the upkeep of the Centre and it’s beautiful grounds and gardens, maintaining them to the highest standard.

Patricia Sheridan – Fundraising Volunteer

Patricia is with LARCC since it’s foundation in 2002. Before her retirement Patricia played a key role in the Administration team and now as a volunteer she operates a very important role in the area of fundraising.
