Cancer Support Sanctuary LARCC operates a telephone support / helpline during Centre opening hours. This free and confidential service offers the cancer patient and / or family members a chance to talk to a qualified Nurse about any anxieties that they might have.
As with the Nurse Support service, the Telephone Helpline can give the same level of support to someone who for whatever reason at that time cannot physically make it into the Centre itself that day.
The Nurses who run our Telephone Support Service can help cancer patients and / or their family members with:
- Unanswered questions – cancer patients after a diagnosis have so many questions, our Nurses can help
- Anxieties / advise about cancer treatments they may be receiving
- Information about entitlements with regards to medical cards and other such financial help that might be available
- Information on the free services that LARCC can make available to them
